Marawan El-Asfahani is a business strategist and M&A broker with a long record of leading complex transactions in the creative and digital sectors. As co-founder of Oxygen Design Agency, he advised global brands such as Nike, Microsoft, LCBO, and Munich RE in growth strategies that led to stronger market positioning and measurable commercial impact.
He went on to lead one of Canada’s most notable creative-industry mergers, uniting Oxygen Design Agency, Apparatus Inc., and Amoeba Corp. to form Jacknife, a firm recognised for its strategic scale and industry influence. He later executed an international consolidation of eleven Chilean design practices into one integrated studio, now known as Chica, establishing a cross-border embedded model that continues to serve North American companies.
Through his consultancy, Bobby Sugar, Marawan helps businesses grow, strengthen operations, and prepare for acquisition or exit. His work has supported brands including Thomson Reuters, Constellation NewEnergy, and Weekendtrips.com. Recognised by Fast Company as one of the most forward-thinking minds in design, he was invited to speak at their Innovation Summit in New York. Today, Marawan works at the intersection of design, strategy, and M&A, guiding companies through growth and transformation in the digital-first economy.
